    This series reflects photography’s need for contextualization. What is scale without a reference point? A tree surrounded by blackness could be no more than the follicles of a tuber root. Removing and adding context in a series of photos encourages thought about spatial context, in what is considered an objective art medium. It is the ambiguity that makes these photos.
